Advice

Have any of you purchased a fixer upper home? I am looking at a townhouse that hasn't been updated for about 30 years (at least cosmetically), but it is a sturdily built place, and all the really expensive things are still working smoothly. Would you suggest I buy this type of home or one that's already ready to move in? I think a fixer upper would be a better deal, but I'd like your input.
