Gerald Ford

I was very surprised to find out that there was no mail on the funeral day of Ford. And what was even more surprising was that today, the mailman didn't come until very late in the day, and he delivered tons of incorrect mail to me. I have a feeling that they are backed up and having trouble. Is anyone else experiencing similar difficulties with their mail? Plus, I thought that the mail carrier couldn't have more than 2 days off in the same week. Am I incorrect?

President Bush declared it a day of mourning, so all federal offices including banks and post offices were closed for the day. Add that on top of the holiday and the mail service is all screwed up! I'm waiting on a lot of things that are usually here by now.
