I've been thinking about mortgages that I can handle lately, because at first I was going by the price that was offered via "calculate your mortgage sites, but when you really think about it, all these sites are doing is multiplying your yearly income by three and telling you that you can afford that much. But what will your quality of life be? Will it be so hard to maintain your home that a short period of lay off will be enough for forfeiture? It's a scary and exciting time, but I really need to consider everything before I jump into a townhome purchase.
